Summertime, and the viewing is easy

I'm really enjoying my little summer break. Last night, my wife and I actually watched one of the Netflix movies that have been sitting on the TV stand for the last month.

The worm will turn, though. This week's TV Talk looks at the wave of cable shows premiering this month. More good TV than you can shake a remote at.

For now, though, I'm giving thanks for the time to squeeze a DVD in between network shows.

The wife and I actually dove into the first season of Rescue Me last night. GREAT show!

"Spanglish." It was ehhh. Had some laughs, terrible ending. Pretty rough on Tia Leone's character.

OK... anyone else watching Meadowlands? Fran and I watched the first episode last night. HOLY CRAP! This is one seriously bizarre show. Reminds me a A LOT of David Lynch's Twin Peaks - just way out there and wholly freaky weird.

HOWEVER, by the end of the first episode we were intrigued just enough to want to watch the next one.

Thankfully the website shed SOME light on what the heck is going on in the other worldly town of Meadowlands.

Anyone else?
