KOAA, KKTV win Murrow awards

KOAA/Channels 5&30’s James Jarman and KKTV/Channel 11’s Jesse Kurtz won 2009 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio-Television News Directors Association.

Jarman won the investigative reporting prize for his hidden camera investigation of former Fourth Judicial District Attorney John Newsome.

Kurtz won the sports reporting prize for his story on a cancer survivor who became a mountain bike racer.
