Lost - Does Aaron count as one of the six?
And, if so, does Claire count as one of the eight original survivors? It's Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and possibly Aaron and possibly Ben, if you're counting. That's all six, potentially, although it leaves the two who didn't make it up in the air.
Actually, for all the mumbo jumbo, it was a very straightforward episode. It was clear pretty early on that Aaron was Kate's baby, that she was going to get off the charges (seems like there was a LOT more evidence on her than just her mom's testimony, but whatever). Ghostbuster's extortion deal was the opposite of interesting. The final reminder of the time lag was kinda cool.
I don't know why they keep making Locke be an idiot, it seems like more people would pick up on that and stop trusting him so much.

Ben does not count he was not in the manifest. And neither was Aaron but they cant say ben was born on the island after the crash. But it would fit if they said it was Kate's baby if Claire died because the time span would be close enough.
Interesting episode for the most part. It's painfully obvious the "frieghter folks" know WAY more about what's goin down then they're telling. When Desmond was grilling Miles about Penny, the glances between Miles and Daniel seemed to indicate they either knew who Penny was, or at least recognized the last name. Her dad is the Power Man.
The experiement that Daniel does was interesting. The missle was 31:18 AHEAD of Island time. Yet communication wise, the're in sync. So where the hell did it (and presumably the helo) go? That's gotta be what happened to the Helo. They must have went off course, like Daniel said not to.
Good question about Aaron... don't know if he does count or not. I suspect Claire had to count as one of the eight survivors. I can't remember the circumstances of her pregnancy and who knew prior to her getting on the plane. I think I recall she went to that psychic guy who told her she had to keep him. He told Claire Aaron was going to be special. Something to that effect. Anyhow, point is people knew she was preggers. People knew Kate was not. Someone, somewhere is gonna put two and two together. So I suspect she did survive and they said she died in child birth. Since we know the 6 are covering up for people left on the island, I wonder if Claire is still alive.
Locke is looking like an idiot, but that will surely be remedied. I wonder what happened to Jacob's cabin. It must possess the same time (?) hopping ability, or trans-demensional shifting ability.. or whatever it is. Ben's lil room proves that he can get off the island any time he wants and GO anywhere he wants. Time travel? Dimension hopping? Something like that. That would jive with what Charlie said when he appeared to Hurley... that he died, but he was also there - with him, at that moment.
Ben has a drawer full of fake ID's. I imagine he could fake being on 815 if he wanted to.
What I'm looking forward to is, at some point, Miles and Jacob are going to have to have a meet-up. That should be interesting.
Here' a thought... one that's probably been tossed out there by someone somewhere before.
The island sits in some sort of time rift. It isn't from this time. Or space. Or dimension. It would explain the three-toed statue we saw from a few seasons back. Might explain the smoke monstere too... since Ben doesn't even know what that thing is.
Atlantean? Lumarians? Think they'd go that route?
Another thought... totally forgot about this: Aaron is Jack's nephew, right? Claire is Jacks's step-sister. Wonder why Jack is so petriifed to go see Aaron. At least that's what it looks like. And Aaron must be the "he" that Kate said she had to get back to during the very first flash forward when Jack and Kate met at the airport.
Rambling... on a lot of medication right now fighting off the funk. Like I needed anything else to help me ramble, right? ;)
