The audience for the "Idol" finale? 35.4 million. My guess came in a little high. 43 million watched the last half-hour, though, or about a fifth of the audience Seacrest claimed.

Seacrest said "worldwide" on the 200m.
Yeah, but it's still a made-up number. Like when they say the Super Bowl has a worldwide audience of 1 billion. The rest of the world has its own versions of Idol. They're not that enthralled with the American version.
