KRDO sale - and BTW, I rock

The paperwork on the KRDO (95.1 FM) sale to Citadel was posted on the FCC Web site today.

Purchase price: $8.5 million.

Purchase price predicted by your humble correspondent: $8 million.

Any inference that I am beginning to understand the broadcasting business is purely coincidental and should not be considered to be reflective of reality.

Now, if there was just a place on the transfer forms where Citadel tells us whether KRDO will be new country or old country...

...or Hot AC or maybe News/Talk.

Maybe not News/Talk but don't count it out. Clear Channel is allready looking into Political/Issues formated News/Talk radio on FM.

So far their are two Clear Channel FM stations on FM that do News/Talk and their will be three. Those markets include Pittsburg, PA; Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN; and soon New Orleans, LA. You could also count a liberal/progressive talk station in Madison and the number goes up to four.

Yes you know your numbers Andy.

I hope they keep the format and DJs the same as The Peak. I quit listening to 98.9 Magic FM because all their DJs did was cuss and do stupid stunts, plus played a lot of rap crap.

We have enough County stations, and if I want to listen to talk radio, I'll turn it to AM!
