Couric in Denver

I'm headed up to Denver today to see what new CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric has to say for herself. She's on a nationwide listening tour and is stopping in Denver to listen and also do a charity lunch. Oddly, it's the lunch that's open to the press -- CBS' new top news woman wants to listen in private.

Are we all getting a little sick of Katie-mania? Yeah, but I'd still make the drive if it were Brian Williams or Dan Rather or Charlie Gibson, so it would be silly to skip it because I'm a little Katie'd out. Probably have a short story in tomorrow's paper and if there are some extra things going on, I'll come back to it in next Tuesday's TV Talk.

I am sick of most if not all of the National News Media personalites.

CBS News thinks they will reclam the top spot since the Walter Cronkite years with Katie Cookie Cutter as I like to call her on my blog.

If people did not see her true colors as part of NBC's Today, I hope they see them as the anchor of the CBS Evening News.

Trust and viewership has to be earned. She hasn't shown those qualities over the years. She knows how to look right for tv. I hope she can develop a style that will last longer than, "sweeps"

"WHO CARES!!!!!!"

What about that Harry Hoth interview??? You know the guy that hindered KRDO-TV's potential for years, just because he believed in Mom/Pop ownership and serving the "community."

Meanwhile KOAA becomes the top dog in market and they along with KKTV try to look more professional while KRDO-TV still looks El Cheepo.

Granted I don't expect News Press Gazette to make the nesscary changes overnight, and they truly have their work cut out for them.

At least KRDO's Morning Newscast is doing well since people are sick of Jeff Marcu and maybe Kim Price on KKTV.

Maybe KKTV needs to chuck Marcu and Price just as they did with Eric Singer and Mellisa Brown.

Id rather read about Harry Hoth retirement over anything about the perky one.

Hope I made myself clear
