No NewsBlab no mo'
Colorado Springs' other TV blog, Mike Coletta's www.newsblab.com, is down, apparently for good. Mike says he was thinking about killing it for awhile and just decided to jump off the cliff yesterday.
Mike had been doing the blog for I think about four years. He made a hobby out of showing up where news was happening and reporting on what the news people were doing while the reported the news. The paparazzi pix, rumor-mongoring and behind-the-scenes info made NewsBlab an entertaining read for people interested in local news.
Before we chisel RIP on NewsBlab's tombstone, I should note that Mike killed the site once before, but couldn't resist bringing it back. So we'll keep an eye out.

Bummer, I just recently came across Mike's site and really liked the "other" side of the news being reported by Mike. Really sorry to see it end.
please give me a break! I heard possibly that I think maybe, stick to the dollar movies, more truth there than on the wanna be sight
Gee, that last post must be from one of the wanna be TV journalists in town who got out gunned by that wanna be site. :-)

STEP UP AND HAVE A SITE AS INTERESTING AS MIKES. HE SEEMED TO PUT MUCH MORE EFFORT INTO HIS SITE.
In Andy’s defense he works for a newspaper and must live by rules that the paper sets. His blog is linked from that paper and published in that paper so the ground rules are different. Mike had more freedom to cover and write what he wanted with only himself to answer to. It would not be fair to try and hold Andy’s blog to the same standards, or lack of, that were seen on News Blab. I heard through a station’s grapevine someone offered $2000 for newsblab.com but that offer was turned down. I wonder what Mike has in store for newsblab.com?

Looks like Mike just could not stay away. His site is back, sort of. But apparently he has changed the format of his posting.
And I like the new direction.
Did he get in some stalkerish kind of trouble? The way he followed around some female journalists was pretty skeevy.
He didn't follow around any female journalists you moron but he did get sick of people like you who would hide behind an anonymous post while attempting to make something out of nothing. I would be more worried about your kind than someone doing something like BM did. Most of the media found him to be a nice guy. I will really miss his media coverage but I won't miss reading your kind of posts on his message board.
One more thing. Shouldn't you be working rather than stirring the pot here. The city taxpayers wouldn't like it if they knew how you use the city computers the way you do. Don't you have a Springs TV production to do?
Unfortunately, newsblab is back again. When will the moronic mike coletta give it up for good? Never. He has no life.
