Denver = yawn
Ratings for the "Real World: Denver" premiere tanked compared to last season's Key West edition. The audience in MTV's core 12-24-year-old age group dropped in half.
Having been bar-hopping in Denver myself, I can attest that it's really not all that interesting, so I don't blame viewers a bit.

Couldn't agree more. LoDo is fun once or twice, but it gets dull real quick, unless you into sports bars and drunk baseball fans! Speaking of Denver, anyone know why Comdelphia dropped the feeds of all Denver channels? It's the only reason I keep cable instead of going dish, but yesterday all feeds of 2, 4, and 9 stopped.
I noticed some other weird cable problems yesterday. It might have been weather-related -- as in, somebody didn't show up to throw the switches.
Channel 4 is still down, but the others I saw are back up.
Yup, been noticing those same "weird cable problems" the last few days myself. Lots of digitization and dropped audio on all HD channels. Thought it was just the assclowns over at KKTV, since they've been having major problems the last few months anyway, but then switched over to the other affiliates and had the same problems. Specially last night - really bad. When I checked the non-HD TVs, there was a lots of static on the channels.
As for Real World... that show (from any locale) is about as enjoyable as a colonoscopy.
I think a read in a media column in one of the Denver papers that said the Real World Denver doesn't get cranked up until the third episode. Then we'll see what the ratings are.
Found out something interesting just now... my Prod. Sup., who lives on the far south side of town (when I live on the far north side), is having the exact same cable problems. One of my new employees just got off the phone with Comdelphia/Adelphcast and they told her due to a level 3 outage (whatever that means) in her area (Hwy 24), her appointment to have her cable hooked up (she just moved here from Chicago) was not only canceled, but she wasn't told it was canceled until SHE called them to find out where they were! Estimate for when they can fix this? "Call back next week." What the hell is going on with the TV stations in this city?!
Eli....Comcast/Adelphia is a cable company...not a television station.
i called the customer service rep from adelphia from florida yesterday. and she issued a work order for those denver tv channels.it should be up soon. also i chatted with her why is mykktv ch.141 is still on and im its still having problems. it should be moved to the hd tier on adelphia because it breaking up my tv bad and adelphia reps denies to me that its on their channel tier . i cant believe it. p.s if u think that the 88 year old kettle worker from koaa-tv was "greaat" u aint heard about the guy up north csprings . Ringing chirstmas songs and 50/60 oldies tunes about 500 on his bell.no one can do it anywhere but here . its truely amazing to have some one like that here..u should listen to this .merry christmas to all.

Hey "anonymously-hiding-so-no-one-can- harp-on-me"... it's called GENERALIZATION. If you reread my posts (as in both of them), I made a comment about Comdelphia in one, AND the problems of our local stations in the other. Get... a... clue.
Eli...for the SECOND TIME...anonymous is my name...JOE ANONYMOUS. And, if your re-read your two posts, the only television station you write about is KKTV. KKTV doesn not = TV stations in this market.
:)
like what happened to the weather??dude. The denver channel cw2 news . dave frazer said "just a smahtering of snow flakes in colorado springs and pueblo today".. yeah ,RIGHT dave .. I got 8inches here today..i wished that these weather guys get their act straight and give us the right weather forecast.not from the weather services..Pretty though..i admitt along with those bellringers up on the north part of the town.. Im dreaming of a white christmas..
