No "Deadwood" movies?

This is the first I'd heard of this. I thought they were still a done deal. But maybe the burden of disappointing, well, everyone with "John from Cincinnati" has worn David Milch out.

Honestly, while I enjoyed "Deadwood's" first season, the novelty wore off in the second and I didn't follow it closely after that.

I've always been rewarded by "Deadwood" - when I invest the time, patience, and energy to penetrate the insanely dense dialogue. I was particularly pleased how well the show thrived after the death of who I thought was to be the main character - Wild Bill.
That said, I think I'd continue to thrive even if the wrap-up movies never get made.
