Changes at Salem radio
Salem Broadcasting, which owns Christian contemporary station KBIQ (102.7 FM) and Christian talk station KGFT (100.7 FM) and operates news-talk station KZNT (1460 AM), shook up its staff last week.
General manager Henry Tippie, news director Joe Myers and news reporter Molly Schmitt left the company. Roger Harris is the new general manager for the radio cluster.
Tippie is a former general manager for country station KKCS and adult contemporary station KKLI. Myers and Schmitt both previously reported for news-talk station KVOR (740 AM).

hey andy-----what's going with the old KDZA?
are they getting announcers any time soon? are they planning on having a bigger presence in colorado springs---since they are a pueblo station??
and who is the new voice on kvor mornings?
thanks for the info!
KZNT's loss (Joe Myers) could be someone else's gain!
KDZA moved their tower up to Cheyenne Mtn. and rebranded themselves, um, I forget. Anyway, there's no official word on a re-launch, but I expect they'll do it soon, assuming all the Clear Channel corporate stuff doesn't stand in the way.
On KVOR, you mean Charlie Stone? Or Wendy LaBree?
okay i guess i meant wendy labree..i think i have heard charlie stone before..but i could be wrong...sometimes i get confused on the changes....oh and i checked the website..they are now "jet 107.9 high altitude hits" whatever that means..:))
I actually like the format OK. Has anyone checked how far north you can receive that? It should get up to Castle Rock, based on the coverage map.
KDZA cant be picked up at the chapel hills mall without a high beam antenna. not a bad format choice but unlikely to be a top tier anything in the springs with the scratchy signal imho.
Been listening off and on, on line....not a bad format. If I hate one song, I like the next one.
