Sixthirty
Oh, and well I was off changing diapers, I see KXRM began a 6:30 p.m. newscast.
I'd always wondered why they didn't do an early newscast from the get-go.
Anyhoo: 6:30. Discuss.

Great move Fox. The 6:30 show is well done.
I look forward to seeing who your new morning anchor will be as well.
A lot of FOX affilates went without an early evening newscast for years.
Kim Price is the new AM anchor. She started today.
Hopefully a little more serious news reporting...Come on Fox21, you can do it!
If it isn't a national Fox network report and it wasn't on channel 5 11 or 13 yesterday, you won't see any serious news reporting on 21 today. That is how it looks to me.
Hmmmm. He claims to be a tv news watcher but sounds more like someone who works for the competition.
I have to agree. Fox's newscast in this market leaves a lot to be desired. Compared to Phoenix they are a second rate step child.
Let me get this straight...Fox has local news here?
Phoenix is a top 20 market. There is no comparison.
Check the ratings people. They must be doing something right. Can't argue with hard numbers.
But when they have to go head to head with the other stations, their ratings stink. When they are by themselves, sure it will do well.
How about those stellar morning numbers? Oh they don't have any.
Why are you so bitter? Are you one of the people that recently left Fox. You certainly don't sound like a viewer, you sound like an unhappy member of the competition. Or just an unhappy individual in general. If you aren't worried about Fox why are you on here acting like a viewer.
These are tired arguments people. Each station has a certain set of loyal viewers and that's the bottom line. It sounds like you guys miss newsblab. Move on. There's a reason he doesn't do it anymore. It's because of bitter souls like you guys who take time away from their jobs to post anonymous posts on a lonely blog.
That last comment raises a good point, I think. Is it really possible to move the numbers in this market? Is that just a pipe dream?
I mean, I know - KRDO won demos in spring at 10. But the summer numbers looked completely business-as-usual.
What would it take to effect a real, lasting shift in the ratings hierarchy around here?
What would it take? Money. Money to grab talent (those not under contract) from other stations and other markets. (Big) Money could possibly help in Pueblo. Pueblo is enormously under-rated by all those except 5/30. Finally, money to invest in their look (a new set/shooting high def) and live news coverage. 9pm is a gold mine, just go get it.
Hey, it's just money.
You got that right money. And when you start talking about money, you start talking about the big guys at corporate. The stations are only as good as the money given to them by corporate.
A move to meters. That would shake up the ratings landscape a lot.
It would be really nice if they added an actual sports department. With such a vibrant local sports community, and considering most fox affiliates across the country have one, they are really missing out.
Hmmmmm
