Still no Meister news
Neil Klockziem and Dave Rose are maintaining radio silence over at KRDO. Morning guy Marty Ventincinque is filling in again. I hope they give him a cot or something to sleep on.

*laugh* well... look at it this way: If Neil and Dave decide to keep Matt "Liability" Meister, they're going to have to hope and pray the FCC doesnt fine them...because if they do, NP&G will probably terminate all 3 of them.
Do you think Neil and Dave would sell Matt out to keep their cushy jobs? YOU BET THEY WOULD!
This will be interestng to see what wins out: possibly losing viewers who love Matt to death... the FCC or the "Focus" types who I am sure are raising a ruckus.
I feel bad for Marty if they are making him work 24/7. Is Nelson slated to help out more? Have they asked for some relief from over at KJCT or other NPG stations? I know that KRDO has sent people over to KJCT to help out when they are short on people.
Now with Kyle gone who is going to do the funny stuff in the mornings?
OK, here's what's gonna happen:
The NP&G corporate people are huddling with their FCC lawyers. (each broadcast corp works with a DC law firm to represent them before the FCC, station renewal etc.) Their FCC lawyers will quietly ask the FCC what their potential liability is gonna be. The FCC will tell them what kind of fine is in the offing, then corporate will decide if Meister gets fired or not and they will tell Neil & Dave to fire Meister or keep him.
well the hiring stuff goes to the personnel dept of krdo tv -am-fm..ms fellman runs that outfit..but ..i wonder?? how would i get a resume out to j cole at kxrm tv. for the new kxrm tv production??but i dont know where is janye smith went to??she not in bismarck..she'll probably stay here or go to another better tv market..but if she doenst have a ams or nwa seal.. forget it man.. dave hazel the weather guy on 5/30.. man finally got his nwa tv weather seal.. now if rebecca huffing berg got hers man..
Unfortunately... the longer he is off-air... the more likely he is fired. I hope corporate realizes if they fire him they are losing KRDO's bright spot right now and will have a harder time trying to get out of the hole in ratings. I have a feeling the pressure from a more strict FCC will force them to do it. Agree or Disagree?

What a shame that the Gagzette considers this front page above-the-fold news. Is the world in such good shape that this story about 30 seconds of bad air makes the front page?

I think it's great how the Gazette is kicking butt and printing names on this serial killer Browne story. Followup after followup. And all the tv news teams can do is read Gazette print copy on their newscasts. I guess their definition of an investigative reporter is one that reads the newspaper.
Keep up the great work on this Gazette! You shine bright next to the pathetic local tv news people.
Serial killers are bread and butter for the media. You think the Gazette is beating the Browne story to death to keep you informed? Or to keep you buying the paper and reading?

It was forced, scripted, and rehersed. If that "language" is not part of his normal vocabulary, then why was he using expletives to describe his co-workers?
What Matt meant to say was, "God bless them. They're doing the best with the tools and knowledge He gave them, but for Heaven's sake, they just can't seem to get it right. Under His divine guidance, I forgive and forgive, but when I speak in harsh tones, I am viewed as a demonic figure not worthy of salvation. Gosh darn, it's frustrating."
Unfortunately, it came out as "We have a bunch of people up there that cant do their fucking job and I cant say anything because I'll come across like a fucking asshole."
Really... he meant it the first way.
