Lyons at Lewis-Palmer

Lewis-Palmer grad Kim Lyons of NBC's "The Biggest Loser" is in town doing two days of filming at her old stomping grounds. I guess her folks still live in the neighborhood.

She's apparently offering current students some fitness tips and, I'm assuming, making the guy who stood her up at Homecoming insanely jealous.

I'm setting up an interview on Wednesday for Thursday's paper.

I like "The Biggest Loser" - MUCH more positive than those Extreme Makeover shows / Swan, etc...

The idea that you can improve yourself - and don't have to turn to surgery... Dunno - just seems more "real" to me!

Hey V... you're right. I won't go so far as to say I LIKE the show... but I like the IDEA of the show. I used to be a personal trainer, and still consider (after 22+ years of being a gym rat) my #1 hobby to be working out. If more people worked out instead of turning to drugs and/or other instant fixes, we'd be a lot better off. Our society is pathetic. No one wants to work for anything, they want everything NOW.

Much like the American viewing audience. They're all sheep. When shows like "Dancing with the Stars" gets MASSIVE ratings while shows like "Smith" (a thinking person's show that actually has a storyline and plot that takes time to develop) get's the axe... well, that says quite a lot.
